Last week, our campus got a serious glow-up!
More than 60 members of the Motorola Solutions Galvin Masters joined us from across the country for a day dedicated to service, collaboration, and community impact. Supported by the Motorola Solutions Foundation, these leaders rolled up their sleeves and got to work on more than 10 projects designed to enhance our campus and enrich life for the children, adolescents, and families we serve.
It was the kind of day that starts with a plan and ends with a transformation. Early on, truckloads of supplies, tools, and materials arrived on campus, and teams spread out to get to work. Some picked up paintbrushes. Others took on construction. Others headed outside for landscaping and beautification. Each team brought energy, teamwork, and a lot of heart to its project, and every improvement was completed with purpose and care.
By the end of the day, the results were hard to miss. Our pool locker rooms, cafeteria, and brand-new pavilion had become fresh, welcoming spaces that will be enjoyed for years to come. Places our kids and families use every day now feel brighter, warmer, and more inviting, and that’s a big part of what this work is about.
For the youth we serve, these spaces are so much more than buildings. They’re where friendships are formed, confidence is built, and healing takes place. A cafeteria is where kids gather, laugh, and connect. A pool locker room is part of a day that’s meant to feel safe and fun. A pavilion is a new place to come together and make memories. The investments these volunteers made help create an environment where children can feel supported, valued, and inspired as they continue their journey toward brighter futures.
The most remarkable part of the day might not have been the finished projects. It was the spirit behind them. Volunteers from across the country, many of whom were meeting each other for the first time, came together around a shared commitment to making a difference. They showed what can happen when organizations unite in service of their communities, and they reminded all of us that meaningful change often begins when people decide to show up and do the work together.
