A Rewarding Work Environment

Come enjoy a rewarding work environment and help us make a difference in our community!

We’re always looking for caring individuals who not only enjoy working with children but also enjoy an active work pace. Our behavioral health counselors (BHC) and mental health counselors (MHC) have an active workday in our psychiatric residential and day treatment programs. Our direct-care employees are trained and understand the importance of daily recreational activity in ensuring successful client outcomes.

We provide quality, professional treatment that enables children and their families to exercise self-determination, achieve their potential, and become positive contributors to society. No previous mental health experience is required—just a compassionate and helpful attitude—along with a natural inclination and desire to be engaged in activity and play.

Team members in our crisis support shelters, counsel children and parents and assist them with resources to benefit the whole family. If you are an excellent communicator, personable, and good at teaching the skills to others that you have learned, we recommend taking a look at our crisis counselor openings at The Relatives (Charlotte) or Youth Focus (Greensboro).

In addition to our residential, day treatment, and crisis openings, we have opportunities in community-based programs such as outpatient services, intensive-in-home, therapeutic foster care, and multisystemic therapy. These programs often require the completion of bachelor’s or master’s degrees or clinical licenses (full or associate licensure).

Come enjoy a rewarding work environment and help us make a difference in our community!

Help us support our children and their families with a gift to Alexander.
