Beth Jones Family Cottage
Serving the Families of Children
Full-Time Residential Program
In 2018, Alexander opened the Beth Jones Family Cottages to serve the families of children in our Charlotte Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF). Two, brand new family cottages allow parents and families to stay on our PRTF main campus for extended periods of time.
The cottages are a vital part of recovery and rehabilitation through the full-time residential program. They offer families an opportunity to be engaged and practice skills in a household setting. Families can stay on campus for visitations, while children can be comfortable in a home-like setting. Most importantly, they are just yards away from the residential cottages where children stay while in treatment. This setup allows families and children to enjoy quality time together.
Cottage Features:
- Two bedrooms
- A full kitchen
- Living room
- Television and board games
- Immediate access to therapists, counselors, and other staff on site.
The renovation process was in part thanks to Bill and Peggy Crowder and Tim Korona, who firmly believe that families are a vital part of the healing process. In honor of long-time volunteer, Beth Jones, the cottages were established to provide our Alexander parents and caregivers with the connectivity and quality of care that children receive in treatment programs.
