ALEXANDER FRIDAYS, CHARLOTTE
2nd Friday of each month
Join Us Monthly for Alexander Fridays


Alexander Friday is a free one-hour introduction to Alexander Youth Network held at noon on the 2nd Friday of each month at Alexander's main campus off Thermal Road in southeast Charlotte. The event consists of a free lunch, a tour of the facilities, and participation in the children's weekly awards program. The event lasts approximately one hour and visitors are not asked to contribute to the agency's mission. The goal is to share with the community the scope of mental illness in our midst and how Alexander is making a difference in the lives of children and families.

Dates for 2008 are:
Jan. 11, Feb. 8, March, 14, April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12.

Lunch with The Relatives
4th Friday of each month
Join Us Monthly for Lunch and Tour at The Relatives


Fridays @ The Relatives is a free lunch and tour on the 4th Friday of each month at noon at The Relatives youth crisis shelter at 1100 East Boulevard in Charlotte. The event lasts approximately one hour and visitors are not asked to contribute to the agency's mission. The goal is to share with the community the scope of teenage homelessness in our area and show what The Relatives does to help.

Jan. 25, Feb. 22, March 28, April 25, May 16 (moved due to Memorial Day), June 27, July 25, Aug. 29, Sept. 26, Oct. 31, and Dec. 5 (Nov. and Dec. dates are consolidated due to the holiday schedule).


Charlotte East Black Tie Gala Benefit Party
Sat., Oct. 11, 2008
The 2nd Annual Black Tie Gala will be held Sat., Oct. 11, from 6-9 p.m., at the Charlotte Museum of History at 3500 Shamrock Dr. A portion of the proceeds benefits Alexander. Tickets are $30 and must be purchased in advance. Event consists of heavy hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment and a silent auction. Piedmont Natural Gas Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show
Oct. 18, 2008
Proceeds from the sale of food and raffle tickets at this event will benefit Alexander. The show will be held Sat., Oct. 18, at the Amity Gardens Shopping Center at 3900 E. The Great NACE Dine Out
Nov. 21, 2008
The Great NACE Dine Out will be held Fri., Nov. 21, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Alexander will be the beneficiary of proceeds from a silent auction to be held at the event. The group will be auctioning dinner packages to area restaurants. The event will be held at the Extravaganza Depot. Tickets are $40. Third Annual Holiday Tree Lighting

Alexander's Third Annual Holiday Tree Lighting and Sing-a-long will be held Thurs., Dec. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the agency's Thermal Road campus.
