Virgina Molan – Junior League
Virgina has been a volunteer at Alexander Youth Network for more than five years as a member of the Junior League of Charlotte AYN Committee Chair. This past year she joined the Alexander Children’s Foundation Board of Directors. Virginia is a local to Charlotte, NC and is a Campus Recruiting Consultant for Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking.
How did you get invovled at Alexander?
I started volunteering through Junior League. We host multiple events on campus throughout the year specifically for the kids who are in the residential treatment program.
“I volunteer to get rid of the stigma around mental health. I believe early intervention helps children go on to lead healthy and successful lives. We as volunteers help that happen.”
What has been your best moment as a volunteer?
It is so wonderful to see the growth and achievements of the kids. I also enjoy seeing the community rally around Alexander at annual events and fundraisers.
What is your favorite activity as a volunteer?
It is so fund to see the community come together! The Tree Lighting in December is my favorite event of the year. The kids always have a great time watching the Christmas tree light up and it is so special watching their own faces light up when Santa stops by.
What would you tell people interested in volunteering?
It is just as rewarding for the volunteers as it is for the kids. I have been volunteering for over five years now and can not imagine not volutneering with Alexander!
What is a fun fact about yourself you want to share?
I played collegiate tennis and love to try out new restaurants in Charlotte. My current fave is Zio!
