Therapeutic Foster Care By The Numbers

At Alexander Youth Network we serve over 200 children and families each year through our Therapeutic Foster Care program.
The Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) program is uniquely designed to provide mental and behavioral health support to children in a safe and secure temporary home-like environment. Therapeutic foster parents are a stabilizing liaison between biological parents/guardians and foster parents to provide transitional support through treatment.
Our dedicated therapeutic foster care team, parents, and communities have helped us to achieve the following:
- Place 230 children in a TFC home in 2019.
- The average placement lasted 6-7 months.
- Children in our TFC program are between 9-15 but Alexander provides comprehensive treatment for children and adolescents aged 5 – 18.
- Partner with biological parents, clinicians, TFC parents, and children to build sustainable practices.
