Alexander Youth Network hosts Cocktails & Conversation to share impact with donors and volunteers.
On Wednesday, June 5, Board Member Andy Young and his wife, Court, hosted Alexander Children’s Foundation’s Annual Cocktails & Conversation event. The evening gives donors and Board Members an opportunity to learn first-hand from Alexander staff about our 12 programs and services and how impactful their financial support is to each program.
During the event, guests heard from newly appointed President, Ashley Conrad, and Vice President of Clinical Services, Dr. Kamilah McKissick, about the growth of Alexander over the past year. The biggest story of the evening was about a pair of twins who are successfully completing our Day Treatment program in the Triad area. Through the dedicated work of staff, Dr. Mike Wetsel, and our additional support services, the twins will return to their home school in the fall with a comprehensive IEP and behavioral health plan for the classroom.
Cocktails & Conversation is a unique opportunity for supporters, volunteers, and donors to learn more about the life-changing treatment of the programs and services offered at Alexander.
It gives them a personal connection to Alexander and an opportunity to learn more about the kids we serve through their generous donations. Alexander Youth Network and Alexander Children’s Foundation are grateful to have generous donors and dedicated volunteers to realize the work we do at Alexander. Without you, the agency would not be able to make an impact on the lives of children struggling with mental and behavioral health challenges in over 70 counties in North Carolina.
The Foundation wants to give a special thank you to Andy and Court Young for generously opening their home for the evening.
You have allowed Alexander Youth Network to make a difference in the lives of more than 10,000 children and help supporters realize their own impact on the daily work of the agency.
