Family Cottages at Alexander Youth Network

Beth Jones Family Cottages at Alexander Youth Network

Residential amenities for parents, guardians, and siblings of children in full-time treatment

In 2018, Alexander opened the Beth Jones Family Cottages to serve the families of children in our full-time residential program. Two, brand new family cottages allow parents and families to stay on Main Campus for extended periods of time.

The cottages are a vital part of recovery and rehabilitation through the full-time residential program. They offer families an opportunity to be engaged and practice skills in a household setting. Families can stay on campus for visitations, while children can be comfortable in a home-like setting.

Treatment is most successful when people work together. At Alexander, we believe parents, guardians, and staff must work as a team to benefit the child. The cottages bring families on campus to spend time together, as well as actively engage in their child’s recovery.

The cottage duplex was renovated in part thanks to Bill and Peggy Crowder and Tim Korona, who believe families are vital to the healing process. In honor of long-time volunteer, Beth Jones, the cottages were established to provide parents and caregivers with the connectivity and quality of care that children receive in our treatment programs.

Feels like home

Family Cottage Living Room KitchenEach cottage has two bedrooms, a working kitchen, living room, television and board games. Most importantly, they are just yards away from the residential cottages where children stay while in treatment.

This setup allows families and children to enjoy quality time together. Plus, they also have immediate access to therapists, counselors, and other staff on site.
