Al Winget and his family have been involved with Alexander Youth Network for generations.
As a child, he frequently visited campus where his mother was a volunteer. During this time he would help with small projects on campus or deliver in-kind gifts for his mom. When Al graduated college, he worked for Alexander briefly before pursuing a career as a financial advisor. Throughout the years his involvement with Alexander has expanded. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and has for many years.
“We are astounded by Al’s unwavering support for the mission of Alexander. Over his time with Alexander, Al has not only witnessed but has helped as Alexander expanded from a local Charlotte mental health agency to the comprehensive statewide service provider that it is today,” said Lynn Crutchfield, President of Alexander Children’s Foundation.
Winget is proud to see a third-generation get involved at Alexander. Recently Al and his wife, Susan, have made the ultimate gift to Alexander. They have made a provision in their estate plan to maintain their support of Alexander for years to come.
With this gift, the Winget family is planting a seed that will enable Alexander’s impact on children of North Carolina to continue.
“We couldn’t think of anyone we would rather have as an advocate and advisor.” – Lynn Crutchfield, President of Alexander Children’s Foundation
Al Winget is a life-long partner and friend to Alexander. He has made a lasting imprint on the organization and will continue to do so over the upcoming years. Alexander Children’s Foundation is grateful to Al and Susan for creating a legacy for years to come.
