The Relatives Gets A Makeover

Over the last couple of weeks Virginia Douglas of BB&T bank and her crew of BB&T employee volunteers have been giving The Relatives a makeover. They began their work with a thorough cleaning. Next, Virginia and her crew gave the clients’ rooms a fresh coat of paint. To spruce them up even more, they added beautiful full-wall murals to each room. Virginia and her crew also replaced the curtains, bathroom accessories, all the bed pillows and 4 of the mattresses. Downstairs, they will be replacing our kitchen countertops, stovetop and dishwasher. In addition they will be painting our kitchen cabinets and adding new hardware. More things may be added to this list as Virginia is quick to add things that she discovers along the way. Working on the house is not all that this band of BB&T employees is up to. They have arranged for BB&T to donate 3 laptops and 3 printers. These will be used by clients to complete homework assignments while at The Relatives. The Relatives extends warm thanks to BB&T, Virginia and her crew. The staff, clients, and fellow volunteers are grateful The Relatives was chosen to be the benefactors of such incredible generosity.
