“Now, more than ever, it’s important for organizations to be more comprehensive and integrate physical and mental health services.” – Alexander CEO Craig Bass
Alexander Youth Network and Youth Focus provide similar children’s behavioral services. Both organizations have psychiatric residential treatment programs – Youth Focus’ program serves adolescents ages 13-17 while Alexander’s program serves children ages 5-13. Both agencies provide Therapeutic Foster Care, Day Treatment, Intensive In-Home, and outpatient treatment for children and youth. Youth Focus also offers substance use treatment in outpatient and residential settings. Similar to the services provided by Alexander’s affiliate agency, The Relatives, Youth Focus manages a crisis shelter, temporary housing services, and Safe Place programs.
The combining of agencies will continue to position Alexander as the leader in children’s behavioral healthcare, and better position both agencies amid Medicaid and healthcare reforms. The partnership also provides Alexander with additional opportunities for continued investments in our staff and our capacity, to ultimately better serve the children of North Carolina.
“Joining with Youth Focus gives us a competitive advantage to serve more children, be more streamlined in our delivery of services, and continue enhancing our capabilities.” – Shared Bass regarding the exciting opportunity.
